Gamakatsu Single Hook 53 (NSB) 12

This is a curved point, wide gap type designed specifically for plugging. The curved point allows you to hook a trout with only a very light tension when it touches the plug and turns over. It has the advantage of improving the start-up of the action and increasing the wobbling width during the surface and dead slow action of minnows and terrestrial plugs, but it also has the advantage of preventing snagging and reducing the number of fish that get away when using deep runner plugs to attack the bottom. #12 to #6 are only available at managed fishing grounds. #4 to #1 are designed for cherry salmon, satsuki salmon, etc., and 1/0 and 2/0 are designed specifically for large trout.
