The increased weight at the tip and the "flexibility" of the blank itself allow for automatic mid-level swimming of lightweight jig heads with some shaking. Although it is a light class rod, it can also handle relatively large stick baits in the 5-6 inch class. The taper specialized for jig head swimming is also suitable for reeling in shads and minnows, as well as surface fishing with I-shaped and insect lures.
