The Oceanic Head Dip 175F and 200F Flash Boost are essential lures for me when I aim for Hiramasa, yellowfin tuna and tuna. The biggest feature of both sizes is that they have weights for their body size. So, first of all, the flight distance comes out. The floating posture and standing angle on the surface of the water is about 75 degrees, so even if the line is pulled by the tide and wind, it is difficult for the lure to be washed away. Since it has a strong ability to catch water, it is easy to create water vibrations during action, and it is a reliable lure when attacking pinpoint. It is easy to attract bites by casting with a long flight distance, such as when the bait is small, when the bite is astringent, or on a quiet day. When there are waves, it is a versatile pencil that can be used to dive and swim just below the surface of the water. If you swim with reeling and rodwork, you can use a normal diving pencil, and if you apply momentary force, you can play water firmly and move like a popper.

It is a lure with very basic performance, but the power of flash boost is also great. Since it emits light into the water when pulling, it is a lure with a very high fish-collecting effect. When dived underwater, the light is diffused, so it appeals strongly to the target. The role of bringing the fish's eye to the top is very large. When you glare sideways in the water, you feel that you are strongly attracting fish.

Personally, I often use finer strokes than long strokes. It is based on a light twitch in anticipation of the effect of flash boost, a jerk that appeals to you, and then takes a moment to eat. Just by floating it, it emits flushing, so you can appeal your presence without daring to move it. It is also recommended to use it without moving it more than necessary. I sometimes dive it and use it as a minnow-like image.

Regarding the use of 175F and 200F, I focus on appeal and start using big sizes. Whether it is attached to the roots or floating in the middle layer, it has a great meaning of making the fish aware of the presence of the lure and making it float. In order to increase the flight distance and explore a wide area, I often select from large lures. Specifically, it means that you will use it from the large size 200F.

It is also basic to use it according to the bait size. Large lures are very effective for targeting large fish that prey on large baits. On the other hand, when there are many small-sized baits, small lures such as 175F are often active. The 175F is a small size, but even if you cast it with PE8, it is so balanced that it hardly rotates. The center of gravity shifts well and the flight distance is sufficient. It is possible to drop it where you want it.

The head dip 175F and 200F flash boost have only been available in natural colors until now, but two new colors have appeared in 2023. A orange with an A-type scale boost that emphasizes appeal, and N white with an N-type scale boost that features natural appeal. What the two NEW colors have in common is excellent visibility. The biggest advantage is that if the visibility is good, it is easy to check the place where you have been biting, so it is easy to hook it. If you lose sight of the lure when it comes out, you may be like, "Oh, did you really hit my lure?" and miss the opportunity. Especially if you use it in low light or rough conditions, you will feel the effect.
