The SW-F has been tuned to be truly effective when baitfish and sardines are just below the surface of the water. Both the SSS model and the F model for bass have a high specific gravity design for the front body so that they are not easily blown away by crosswinds even when left unattended or retrieved very slowly. However, if you lower the rod tip and continue retrieving, the depth will be deeper than the target.

So the SW-F has no weight on the front and a special weight on the rear.
