Megabass has re-engineered the X-80 platform into a minnow for saltwater by changing the internal construction. In order to avoid brand engineering by simply reusing a bass lure body, they have refined the characteristics of a minnow for sea bass, and introduced the outstanding rolling action and off-track action created by the unique humpback form of the X-80 body to the world of the sea. The X-80 saltwater version has been repeatedly tested in the Tokyo Bay area and Osaka Bay, and by setting the "front of the body: low center of gravity, high specific gravity weight, rear of the body when the center of gravity moves: tungsten weight", it is now possible to cast astoundingly long distances against the wind, which is hard to believe for a super slim body of only 80mm. The weight setting is a "slow sinking" setting that does not float too much, does not sink too much, and allows for long traces in order to hit the effective range of sea bass during feeding time directly, which sets it apart from simple sinking plugs.
