As anyone who has tried fishing for black porgy with worms knows, black porgy seems to bite the claws of crabs first, so when fishing with crab bait, even if you get a bite, it is often the claws that are taken.

With worms, they bite the part that is the claw, so you get a great bite, but there are many cases where you don't hook up.

We often see large worms being used to target large black porgy, but we recommend these bite-sized worms as they are easier to catch.
