ATD is a drag that has perfected its original function by sending out the line when a load higher than the set value is applied to prevent line breakage. Long-distance rods may not be able to fully absorb the shock of a hit or a fish thrusting through their "bending", but by having an ATD on the reel, you can make the most of the strength of the bait. This is a big advantage especially when fishing mainly by reeling. For example, in surf trolling, ATD can prevent the line from breaking, which tends to occur when using a thin line with an emphasis on distance. Even if your opponent is unexpectedly big and you are immediately attacked by a strong pull, the unique tenacity will continue to apply the resistance as set, so you will not be forced to use the line, and you can rest assured even if you get caught in the undertow when taking in. .
