It is difficult to capture the strong rip currents and the steep, deep bottom of the surf with just a conventional heavy sinking minnow. Also, on days with strong sea breezes in early spring, late autumn and winter, it is extremely difficult to get the lure to the target point. In such situations, metal jigs are effective. However, it was difficult to find a satisfactory metal jig for fishing special fish in a special field such as flounder in the surf.
