As a result of research and development, we have completed a metal jig that can stay underwater and create a "biting gap" without the action of releasing the line slack. Until now, it was not suitable to create a "biting gap" with the slim silhouette of a typical katakuchi, because the water drains out quickly. With this stay-fall, a depression is made on the side of the jig to allow water to enter, making it possible to stay underwater for a moment. The center of gravity is slightly rear-balanced to ensure distance and allow for stress-free casting. In addition, the entire depression receives water, making it possible for it to fall horizontally. The technique I use most frequently among jerking techniques and have seen good results is to get the fish interested in the jerk and then make them bite with the fall. It sounds simple in words, but when the fall action begins, the rod tip is lowered for a moment to intentionally release the line slack. This allows you to make the most of the original movement of the metal jig and bring it to a bite.
