The Kijihata Hog is one of the main baits for grouper targets, and features arms reminiscent of crustaceans such as shrimp and crabs, and a voluminous body.
The original design of the arms allows air to escape moderately when casting, significantly improving the flight distance.
It overcomes the weaknesses of conventional hog-type soft lures by reducing pulling resistance and tidal bites in the water and providing a reliable feeling of hitting the bottom.
On the other hand, when bottom bumping or swimming, the arms flap around, and the vibrations they produce strongly appeal to grouper targets that prey on crustaceans.
It is an extremely versatile soft lure that can be used with any rig, whether it be a Texas or jig head.
