In shad fishing, there are bass that can only be caught with a floating lure. The 4m depth range from the surface is dotted with structures that bass love, such as weeds, boulders, stumps, wave-breaking blocks, pilings, and collapsed banks, and is also irregularly uneven with branches and fallen leaves, making it very varied. The Hi-Cut DR-F allows for a tight approach in tough situations where bass tend to gather near structures, by contacting something in the water and floating it up to avoid them, bringing bass to bites in severe conditions. Another advantage of the "F" is that it also allows for a technique called "floating fishing," which allows for a wide and efficient search from the diving point to the floating range. The floating speed is set to float a little slower than the Hi-Cut F. As a guideline, stop retrieving it about 30cm and let it float for about 3 to 4 seconds (for a spinning rod with 4lb fluorocarbon line) and repeat this action to invite a certain range.
