Orikin's treasured bug, lifted
OSP Pro Staff Kazuki Orikane secretly started making his own Orikane insects before insect lures became popular. It is a secret insect that has been maniacally pursued and evolved, and has been kept secret. The polished performance has led him to win many times in tournaments held at Lake Kameyama and Lake Takataki, which are Mecca for insect lures. The secret to its overwhelming catch is that it has a small silhouette that is strong against high pressure, yet has outstanding fish-collecting power. Good hooking. The sweet pop sound and splash emitted by the cup-shaped head draws bass out of the depths of the cover and deeper ranges, where bass would normally not have noticed it with an insect lure with a small silhouette. The reverse arm makes it easy to lure with a reduced moving distance, and at the same time reproduces the movement of a drowning insect. The four pairs of legs float on the surface of the water, creating complex ripples even with a slight shake. Two brush guards are used assuming heavy cover capture, and by planting them in tandem, the center line of the hook is firmly guarded even when one is cut into a guard and used. Orikin has tried all hook patterns and concluded that the downward line eye and hook are the best for hooking. It is not limited to fields where insects are the main bait, but it also exerts tremendous power against ultra-high pressure and visible bass.
body design
Orikane pursued a “silhouette that looks like any insect”. One of the conditions for an excellent insect lure is to be able to get a bite just by keeping it floating for bass that are wary of shakes.
