The jig head is made of high-density sintered tungsten (specific gravity: about 18), which is considered to be difficult to manufacture from a technical and cost perspective, and is more compact than lead (specific gravity: about 11) or resin tungsten (specific gravity: about 11-14).
It produces the overwhelming fall speed necessary to induce a reaction bite, which is the football jig's greatest weapon.
